Since 2015, José Witteveen has been based in Rome, while spending several months each year in artist residencies across Europe.
This ongoing mobility supports a research-driven practice that moves at the intersection of printmaking, photography, ecology, and social practice.
Collaboration is a central element of her work, involving artists, scientists, writers, poets, and local communities
