W y l d
is an ongoing series of analogue photographs
transformed into gelatin silver prints, cyanotypes
and photographic etchings
It brings together traces of daily life
made within the immediate and intimate
environments I move through
The images arise from everyday moments
the nearness of bodies
the textures of familiar space
the quiet rhythms
that shape personal experience
Many emerge during long periods of presence in the wild
while others trace the search for wildness within cities
sometimes revealing only the absence
or faint echo of it
Together, they form a continuing research
into how contact with the natural world
can be sensed, lived, and translated into images
Through subtle repetition
and small rituals of looking
the work gathers these fragments
into a poetic concentration of the everyday
where the presence of the wild is sensed
as much in its scarcity
as in its abundance
